Wakefest started on Old Hickory Lake in 2005 as a community event built to promote the sport of wakeboarding. It moved to Pates Ford Marina at Center Hill Lake in 2012 and has grown into one of the largest grassroots wake tournaments in the country.
This is not a closed pro event. Divisions run from young kids all the way up through professional riders. You will see first time competitors riding the same weekend pros are throwing their best tricks.
Wakefest happens out on the lake, not from shore. To watch the tournament you need a boat, pontoon, or other watercraft. Small boats can anchor off to the side of the course for free. Houseboats need to rent mooring balls through Sligo Marina ahead of time at (615) 597-5245.
If you do not have a boat, marina rentals around Center Hill Lake book up early for Wakefest weekend. Plan ahead.

Wakefest is free to watch and family friendly. The on water atmosphere covers the full weekend with competition, music, brand demos, and a Friday night kickoff party at Fish Lipz Bar and Grill on the water.
Wakefest started as a way to give back to the riding community that built TNT in the first place. Two decades in, it is still the highlight of our summer. A weekend where we put down the sales paperwork and spend time on the lake with the people who actually live the sport.
